Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala was forced off during Tuesday’s pre-season friendly after collapsing on the pitch for the second time in just three days.
The 23-year-old came on late in the match against second-tier Heidenheim but was on the field for only a few minutes before going down.
Musiala appeared dazed and received attention from medical staff before being assisted off the pitch. The incident has sparked fresh concern after he experienced a similar episode against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said the club was aware of the situation and confirmed that Musiala would address the matter publicly.
“Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it, and we are aware of the situation,” Eberl said.
“He’s in the dressing room, getting changed and taking a shower.”
The earlier incident occurred in Munich during hot weather, with temperatures reportedly exceeding 30°C. Musiala required medical attention after going down during the match.
The midfielder endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines last season after suffering a serious ankle injury at the Club World Cup. He returned during the second half of the campaign and subsequently featured for Germany at the 2026 World Cup.
Bayern and their supporters will now await further information on Musiala’s condition following his latest incident.
