Davido Set to Release New Single ‘I Know Who I Be’ on June 26
Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced the release of his new single, I Know Who I Be, scheduled to drop on June 26.
The forthcoming track features Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay and marks Davido’s return with fresh solo music after a period of relatively few individual releases.
The award-winning singer made the announcement on his X account on Monday, telling fans that “the journey to the throne begins” as he unveiled plans for the song. He also confirmed that I Know Who I Be will arrive on June 26, accompanied by promotional images for the project.
The announcement comes as a surprise to many fans after Davido revealed in May that he intended to take a temporary break from making music.
Before this release, Davido’s last solo single was Be There Still, which was released in March 2025. More recently, he appeared as a featured artist on Nakupenda by TxC.
The new song also follows Davido’s performance at the opening concert of the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown series in Los Angeles, further strengthening his growing international profile.
Since rising to fame with the hit single Dami Duro in 2012, Davido has remained one of the leading figures in the global Afrobeats movement. With acclaimed projects such as Omo Baba Olowo, A Good Time, A Better Time, and Timeless, fans will be eager to see what he delivers with I Know Who I Be.
