Peter alleged that tensions began around the time Lola was pregnant with their son and continued after the child was born. According to the singer, a family meeting was held at his residence in Omole when Cameron was about five months old. He claimed his late mother, Josephine, had travelled from Jos with pastors and requested a private discussion with Lola. Peter alleged that Lola was subjected to an uncomfortable confrontation during the meeting and was allegedly told by his mother and brother, Jude, to leave him. He further claimed that Jude picked up a photograph of Cameron and questioned whether the child was actually Peter’s biological son. The singer also alleged that there had been opposition to Lola’s pregnancy, claiming that Jude and Paul were unhappy about it. According to him, the apology never came. Peter also rejected suggestions that Lola had a poor relationship with his late mother. He claimed that his wife cared for his mother during her final days in the hospital.
