The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Secretary of the FCT FA, Haruna Ilerika, said in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja that registration commenced on April 8 and was scheduled to close on May 30, but has now been extended to June 19.
“This is to give clubs adequate time to complete their payments,” he said.
According to Ilerika, the registration fees have been fixed at โฆ150,000 for Division One clubs and โฆ120,000 for Division Two clubs.
“Clubs are directed to make payments into the FCT FA account and forward evidence of payment, clearly indicating the name of their team.
“The Division One League will kick off on June 29, and no further extension will be granted for registration.
“The association warns that any Division One club that fails to meet the registration deadline will be automatically replaced.
“The FCT FA urges all affected clubs to comply with the registration requirements to ensure a smooth commencement of the 2025/2026 league season,” he said.
NAN reports that Sporting Dream Football Club emerged as winners of the 2024/2025 FCT FA Division One League.
The club was crowned champion after defeating Golden Boys FC 2-0 in the final played at the Area 3 Football Pitch in Abuja.
The Division Two League saw One Touch FC claim the championship title after beating FHA FC 3-0. (NAN)
