Stones arrives in Italy after representing England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he featured in five matches as the Three Lions secured a third-place finish. The semi-final defeat to Argentina marked his 94th appearance for the national team.

During his time at Manchester City, Stones established himself as one of the club's most successful defenders, helping the team win six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups and the UEFA Champions League under Pep Guardiola.

Injuries limited his involvement in recent seasons, with the experienced defender making just nine Premier League appearances in his final campaign for City.

Stones is expected to make his competitive debut for Inter when they begin the defence of their Serie A title against Monza on August 22.
