A court has granted Peter Obi permission to serve legal documents on actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo in connection with a ₦5 billion defamation lawsuit.
The order allows the court processes to be served through an alternative method after the court considered an application seeking substituted service.
The lawsuit stems from an ongoing dispute between the two former political allies, with Obi seeking ₦5 billion in damages over alleged defamatory statements.
The case is expected to proceed once the court documents have been successfully served on Okonkwo in line with the court's directive.
