The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the House of Representatives for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon. Sir Charles Uchenna Okafor, (Wiper, Omeluora Igbo), and his amiable wife, Lady Ogechukwu Okafor, PhD (Odibeze Igbo), joined family members and other guests in Bordeaux, France, to celebrate the wedding of their niece, Chiagozie Ezennia, to her British husband, Adams.
The colourful ceremony, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, drew relatives, friends, and well-wishers from different parts of the world, who gathered to witness the couple exchange marriage vows and celebrate the beginning of their lifelong journey together.
Chiagozie is the daughter of Mrs. Adaeze Ezennia, the younger sister of Hon. Okafor, who resides in the United Kingdom with her family. Beyond the wedding celebration, the occasion also served as a reunion for members of the extended Okafor family, providing an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen family bonds, and create lasting memories.
Addressing the newlyweds, Hon. Okafor congratulated Chiagozie and Adams on their union and prayed that God would bless their marriage with enduring love, peace, happiness, good health, and abundant grace.
He urged the couple to build their home on the enduring virtues of love, trust, patience, understanding, and mutual respect, stressing that these values are the bedrock of a successful and lasting marriage.
The NDC House of Representatives candidate further encouraged the couple to remain steadfast in their commitment to one another, support each other through life’s challenges, and always keep God at the centre of their home.
