Sophia Egbueje is trending because the model was at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix on Sunday, so Nigerians are suspecting a Super Eagles player funded her trip.
Firstly, Monaco isn't that expensive. And Tolu Arokodare was with his rumored South African partner Mihlali Ndamase.
With $20k, you can have your full Monaco experience. But for premium experience, $100-$150k will suffice.
While hotels costs from $400 up to $500k for a night, due to surge. AirBnB's charge from €200-€600 and over, depends on availability and choice.
However, a trending video shows Sophia getting off a chopper, which she took from Nice to Monaco. Ideally, you could use a taxi, train or a chopper (to beat traffic)
Train costs €5-10€
A taxi averagely costs €80-€150. (Could reach 1hr)
Chopper (20mins) averagely costs €200-€500
for shared rides. And a minimum of €300-€1200 for private rides, price varies by operator.
However the most expensive part of the Grand Prix is not the tickets, nor the accommodation, but the yatch, especially docking fee for space closest to the tracks, it hovers from $5M up to $50M+, the parking costs up to $700k for 4 days.
At the end of the day, Monaco isn't a race exhibition, it's a lifestyle showcase.
Monaco is not a rich country per se, it's a tax free country that attracts rich people, thereby making the country significantly a rich country.
