Ekweozor Accepts APGA Primary Outcome, Reaffirms Loyalty to Soludo, Rallies Support for 2027 Elections
APGA chieftain and Founder of the Ide Global Movement (IGM), Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor (Ide Umuawulu, Ozo Eji Ama Atu na Ebeteghete), has accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primary election, reaffirming his unwavering loyalty to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the party while calling on members to unite ahead of the 2027 General Elections. Ekweozor made the declaration in a statement issued following a strategic meeting of APGA leaders convened by Governor Soludo. He described the gathering as a significant step towards strengthening unity, reconciliation, discipline, and collective responsibility within the ruling party. He commended Governor Soludo’s visionary leadership, courage, and statesmanship, saying the governor had continued to provide purposeful direction capable of consolidating APGA’s achievements and positioning the party for greater electoral success. According to him, while primary elections naturally produce winners and others who fall short, the collective interest of APGA must always take precedence over individual ambitions. “I have accepted the outcome of the party’s primary election in good faith and with absolute respect for the supremacy of our great party. I have deliberately placed the collective interest of APGA above every personal consideration,” Ekweozor stated. He reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Soludo, the State Working Committee, and the entire leadership of APGA, pledging to continue working tirelessly for the unity, growth, and electoral success of the party. Ekweozor also congratulated the APGA candidate for the Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Obby Nwankwo, assuring him of his full cooperation and unwavering support. He further pledged to work alongside all duly nominated APGA candidates to secure decisive victories for the party across Anambra State in the 2027 General Elections. Calling for reconciliation after the primaries, the APGA stalwart urged members of the Ide Global Movement (IGM), his supporters, political associates, and party faithful to put the contest behind them and unite in the interest of the party. “The period of internal contests is over. This is the time for reconciliation, grassroots mobilisation, unity, and victory,” he said. He further urged party members to deepen grassroots mobilisation, strengthen APGA’s structures across communities, and intensify efforts to expand the party’s support base ahead of the next general elections. Expressing confidence in the future of the party, Ekweozor said loyalty, patience, sincere service, and unwavering commitment to APGA’s ideals would always receive their rightful reward. He added that under Governor Soludo’s purposeful and transformative leadership, Anambra State would continue on the path of sustainable development, security, unity, and shared prosperity.
